How would we line up if Cressy and Antonio got injured?
At the ground yesterday Cresswell took a massive clump in the second half and although he played on it was obvious that he wasn't quite right. He ran on but every time he walked he was limping. It wouldn't surprise me if he sat the Southampton game out.

As for Micky, we know with some certainly that Bowen would move up front, not that Micky IS injured, but we all know that he's one gut busting run from exploding.

So, sorry to ask a football question on here but I am genuinely interested in how you'd have us line up given that potential disaster?

Bowen’s on fire and he’s partying with Granny Dyer…..

I’m pretty certain a soar Achilles don’t stop you drinking snowballs and eating pinnaple and cheese on a stick with the Elder in laws. Not quite premier league pace.

We weirdly looked better when both Cresswell and Antonio came off.

Soucek upfront and try and get him to use his head so he dont have to use his feet as often.

"I'll never post about Declan Rice"

too fucking late now!!! West Hams equivelant of Macbeth has just gone and cursed him.......

Thanks chim, now go outside, turn around three times, spit, come back in, log out then log back in again and dont mention his name again until after the Seville game.

I'll never post about Declan Rice Mad Dog as we've been lucky enough to see one of our own grow into something very, very special. He's a joy to watch and may become the most expensive holding midfield player in the world.

My God I hope we somehow hold on to him before the cunts upstairs make him the final sacrifice when they cash out, the slippery vermin.

Weirdly, i thought of this thread yesterday while watching them both go off injured in the game.

Exquisite timing ahead of Thursday, especially if Bowen doesn't make it either. Typical West Ham that it happens at the very worst possible moment.

Oh dear oh dear.

Anyone else see this coming?

Not setting myself as a poundshop Nostradamus but it was pretty easy to see this thing coming.

Thank fuck for Ben Johnson who would probably play in goal if you asked him.

It'll be great if that worked all the time, BRANDED.

But this season has been an absolute disaster on the transfer front. The only player who has turned out to be any good has become e a cat kicker which makes his attitude a bit questionable.

There's absolutely no excuse to have 1 (kind of) striker on the books, and 1 left back for so fucking long, especially when you're bragging about having £100m to spend. It's inexcusable.

Re: How would we line up if Cressy and Antonio got injured?
Most clubs will sell players in the summer. There’s a good reason for that. Some clubs want to buy players in January because they are desperate so some deals become available then.
I agree Moyes is likely to be very conservative in his thinking because he has always worked where funds are not 100% flowing. I also think he does want exactly the right players for his mentality which I’m guessing is not an easy find.
Injuries always deplete any team and our have us. The only way to hopefully avoid injuries is the way you train and play and keeping your fingers crossed. We are in a knife edge but at keast we arent going down this year.

Re: How would we line up if Cressy and Antonio got injured?
We have money to spend. I don't understand why people are still thinking the owners are being tight.

Why do you think MOYES told the assistant manager of Kidderminster that he had £100m to spend in January? Just for laughs?!

The bloke has DITHERED in the transfer market for the whole of his career. Why is that so difficult to believe?

Re: How would we line up if Cressy and Antonio got injured?
For asset stripping you actually have to, you know, sell your assets, and they haven't done that. Yet.

As for selling the club, if there is an agreement already in place with Kretinsky to get the remaining shares then it's possible that they might want to go easy on spending or even asset strip, but you'd have thought Kretinsky would be savvy enough not to let them get away with it.

If there's no agreement in place, then GSB will likely get more and better offers if they can sell a club offering European football, so spending money in January would have been a wise investment. Asset stripping on the other hand would likely cost them money in the long run.

I know everyone's a conspiracy nut these days but it is possible that Moyes wasn't lying and the board did genuinely try to buy players. That they didn't manage to is probably testament to their incompetence and/or Moyes' dithering.

Re: How would we line up if Cressy and Antonio got injured?
I think that all this (which I know is complete conjecture and Cresswell would play injured if he could) it highlights how small our squad is, like we didn't know already eh?

Still in the FA cup (which I think we will throw almost because it's the least money gained and fuck the supporters who have been dreaming of silverware for 40 years), Europe and a place that qualifies us for Europe next season with a very stretched squad and games coming thick and fast.

Last season it seemed like the curse of important players getting injured had been lifted but are we going to get lucky twice? Ogbonna out for the season when he was in the form of his life for example.

I'm going to preach to the converted I know, but why the fuck didn't they get someone in the January window. My only conclusion is that we are slowly getting asset striped before they sell our club when they don't have to share the proceeds with the mugs who paid for the stadium (you and me, the stupid people who pay taxes).
.
So whoever buys the club will buy a hundred and ten million debt (almost exactly what the debt was when they took over) and I guess that they are going to sell the crown jewel, Rice, and trouser that too before they hopefully fuck off out of our lives.

They're achieved their ultimate goal this season which seems to be us not getting relegated so why pay more?

I hope that I am being paranoid (on WHO? never) and most of this ever co
